The Royal Family's purpose is to use their vast knowledge and wisdom to keep The Civilian Sector and The Military Sector in check, so that they do not stray from the path and vision of humanity embodied by The First Monarch of Mankind.
THE PARLIAMENT MAKETH,

The Prime Minister, The Parliament, and the Royal Court may approve a law; but The Monarch has the last word.
The Royal Family is the ultimate arbiter of the laws, bills, and constitution of humanity. They have the sole power to create, approve, arbiter, change, destroy, and amend the way society is run.
THE ARMED WILL OF THE
ROYAL FAMILY
The supreme leader of The Military Sector is The Grand Admiral, whose position can only be held by members of The Royal Family.
This secures the dependence of The Military's chain of command in the hands of The Royalty. No bullets can fire without their will. All bullets will fire under their will.
APPEASE THE PRINCES AND
PRINCESSES
The Royal Family discusses major issue together. Using their knowledge and wisdom, the princes and princesses may convince The Monarch to support and deny certain laws, regulations, and policies.
Thus it is not uncommon for politicians and businesspeople to attend to The Princes and Princesses. For their favour may be the key for their policies and interests to materialise.
THE HIERARCHY OF THE ROYAL FAMILY
"Harmony personifies itself in the family. His Imperial Majesty as the brain and face of humanity, and the Queen, The Crown Prince, to the rest of our Princes and Princesses providing him with the bone, muscles, and lifeblood to keep on going."
THE MONARCH
The Monarch is the head of the family, responsible for managing and guiding his family members so they're in-line with the wisdom of The First Monarch of Mankind.
Every decision of The Royal Family lies with The Monarch. He observes. He judges. He guides. He is the final arbiter of humanity.
THE QUEEN CONSORT
Though officially holding no special power in the family, she is in informal capacity the second most powerful person in the family (hence the galaxy), on par with The Crown Prince. Primarily due to her close relations and influence to the Monarch himself.
As a woman, The Queen often embodies the empowerment figure of women across the galaxy.
THE CROWN PRINCE
Heir-apparent to the Throne. Once an heir past their teen, or as The Monarch wills, they will be introduced to humanity as the deputy of The Monarch.
This formally makes him the second most powerful person in the galaxy. Since a Crown Prince handles The Monarch's more menial day-to-day basis, it is said that he has more influence in the field than even His Imperial Majesty himself.
THE PRINCES AND PRINCESSES
The Princes and Princesses are both the Monarch's first-siblings and their children. They formally hold no special powers, but they are offered a strong voice whenever the Royal Family convenes for discussion concerning major crises, evaluation of newly-drafted policies and bills, or other matters.
The Monarch's first-siblings are often more passive in galactic politics, as they are traditionally assigned governorship of a planet or major satellite in Sol System. However, their childrens are often more politically active, seeking influence in the government however they can, even if it means opposing the designs and plans of The Crown Prince.
